Imapenguin, the company is now a thing of the past. It may return. We’re starting over, as an OSS/Tech blog. The company may return, who knows. We’ve decided to keep the several years of blog content as there are some pretty good code snippets that people search for every day.
Thanks for the support over the years and we look forward to keeping up with OSS/Tech with you in 2010!
We’ve been using typo for the blog for years now, but after not being able to login after an update for days, the camels back is broken. We’re importing the content into wordpress and moving on. Pardon our dust as we do that.

We’re very sad to hear that we lost Arthur C Clarke today. He was 90.
Thanks for everything Arthur, we miss you already.
When installing rubygems from the source on a fresh CentOS install, don’t forget that:

I’m working with one of my reps this morning on closing a sale we thought was lost. The customer waited until the end of the quarter for the purchase because he knew he’d get a better price. This is the IM exchange between Lisa (the vendor rep, I changed her name) and I:
Lisa: So, we should get this today! Fantastic!
Me: I think so. He just asked for the fax number.
Depends on what his process is.
I’ll drive over there myself next week if he doesn’t send it
Lisa: LOL… that’s hilarious..i’m sure he’s love that…
PO Pick-up service!
Me: Hey, it’s PO pick up with a smile
I’m going to Patent that!

I’ve had a Memorex 512MB thumb drive for about a year now.

It replaced some other brand at the time because I left it in my jeans and took a turn in the Washing machine. This morning, I pulled this Memorex drive out of the DRYER FOR THE 9th TIME! I can’t believe it. Not only am I an idiot for putting it through the wash twice a month, but it still works. Amazing.
